When someone insists on plastering my friends list with Twitter updates, I can scroll past them. I can also remove that person from my friends list. Guess which one I picked?

I think I made the right choice.

I've come to realize that some folks do not think of Twitter posts as the same as sitting down in a restaurant next to a person on the phone. And the offer to listen to tweets in context... why would I want to pick up a phone and listen in- if the other person allows that? These are conversations that do not concern me.

On the other hand, I remember the whole "It's MY Journal... why should I do something I don't want to because it makes others people reading easier?"

Yeah, I think there's a huge balancing act there. It's not fair for me to demand someone change their posting habits in their own journal to suit me. What it's sort of coming down for with me is whether or not the other content of someone's journal interests me enough to make it worth ignoring the Twitters. In at least one case, it didn't.

Also, I think if the person in question had at least said "Okay, this is why I'm doing this," instead of taking the position of "I'm posting it, now suck it up." Overall, that attitude (combined with a few other things) made me realize it was time to move on.

I've come to realize that some people grow excessive lists to show the 'world' how well liked they are. They make their journals about their popularity and ignore the whole being a friend thing.

I've noticed that, too. I understand how having a triple digit friends list and multiple comments on every journal entry might feel good, but to me, I'd rather have a handful of people on my friends list and actually know those people.

You know you want multiple comments. *nudge nudge*

I'll just have to MAKE MOAR COMMENTS. MOARRRRR!!! MOARRRRR!!! ;D

I'm proud. You know why, I know why.

That being said, should I import my Twitter to my journal today?;)

I have not looked into Twitter yet. I've seen the scrolling interface and it just doesn't look that appealing to me. I wasn't aware that they could put them over here though, and I really hope none of my friends start doing that.

It is one of the most annoying, obnoxious things EVER.

Why do people love it so much? I hate Facebook enough as it is, Twitter seems a lot worse than that.
