(Written at about midnight last night.)

It's been so long I've almost forgotten what they look like.

Anyway, things have been insanely busy. Monday I was on campus till after 4PM, today I left at about 2:15....even though I got out of class at 11:45.

So, where to start?

First, Monday was a huge pain because Alley decided she didn't want to go in her crate. I called her over and she ran to the door (she'd just been outside) and looked at me. Finally, I had to carry her over and shove her in. Frankly, it made me mad because she knows how things work and she was just being difficult.

I decided to get a locker this year, even though I made it through last year without one. I was really on the fence about it until it occurred to me yesterday that if I got a locker and I did my reading after class in the library, then I could actually avoid carrying my books to and from class. Since those things weigh about five pounds each and I'm usually carrying about three plus my laptop, this struck me as a very good idea.

Yes, it does make me sad that even my good habits (not leaving campus till I'm through studying) spring from my laziness.

Since the rule this year is two to a locker (due to a lack of lockers), I'm sharing with Jeannine I think she's really doing it more as a favor to me, because she doesn't think she'll need one, but I guarantee she'll be using it by the end of the year.

Overall, I like finishing my studying on campus. I've done it for two days and it's nice not to have to worry about it at night.

Since I was done early-ish yesterday, I went to Barnes and Noble to order a book for a class, then went to the mall. I got a ton of stuff at Yankee Candle (I love that place) and volumes 2 and 3 of Strawberry Panic, then I tried an Indian restaurant.

As I said earlier, today was my "short day" (classes from 8:30 till 11:45). After I finished studying, I headed home, walked Alley, watched another episode of Strawberry Panic and took a three hour nap. Then I went to do some shopping (four new t-shirts, a tea kettle, and tea, plus more candles). And, of course, when I got home and tried to use the tea kettle, the handle on the lid came off so I have to return it tomorrow.

I talked to Becky, which had a couple of funny moments. First, she was complaining about something her bengals were doing. Actually, I think she was threatening the cats if they did something. I helpfully pointed out to that this should prove to her that people usually have a good reason for throwing things away and maybe this would teach her not to dig things out of dumpsters and take them home with her.

Also, we had a very slow moment where I was talking about tea pots and she was thinking of tea kettles and it took us a while to get on the same page. (And I'm still not sure we were.)

Overall, I'm just a little out of sorts tonight. Nothing bad, just not very chipper. I'm going to watch another episode of Strawberry Panic and go to bed, I think.

Sounds... a bit tiring?

"Overall, I like finishing my studying on campus. I've done it for two days and it's nice not to have to worry about it at night."

This sounds like a great idea. I live off-campus now, it's not too far but far enough to be tiring if the trip is made so many times. Sometimes I have about 3-4 hours between classes, so studying here is most definitely possible.

I feel as if I haven't gotten proper rest yet since moving in up at school myself.

Yay manga!

You nailed it. I live about fifteen minutes away from campus, so running back and forth is a pain...especially in the hot weather. I never could bring myself to study early before this year, but it's a lot more pleasant. I can actually relax in the evening and get in bed at a decent hour.

I'm still tired, though. :-/
