...And Then I Lost Control of the Conversation
[Misc] Flowers
Music lesson tonight. I hardly played tonight because we were trying to figure out what to play from the Butterfly Lover's Concerto I ordered, which came in Monday. It's pretty advanced, so I was fairly limited in my options. It was further complicated by the fact that the recording I had was not divided into movements, so when we found a passage that would work, we had to really dig through the music....all 716 measures of it. :-)

We decided on a part from the adagio at the very beginning. It's basically the part from 1:30 to 3:00. That's basically the part where the two lovers meet.

I apparently have to do a piano piece, too. Bleh. As I said, it's different parts of the world for each night, so my options were Australia, Hawaii, and Southeast Asia. My first idea was shot down, since apparently "You Shook Me All Night Long" is NOT an acceptable Australian choice. I wasn't having much luck until Hele Me No Lilo came up on my iPod. (It's the opening song from Lilo and Stitch, I love it, and even if you know the song, click the link anyway because it's the first version I've seen to have subtitles.) Now I'm trying to track down a copy of that. I remember seeing the soundtrack music book in a store, so I've got my fingers crossed.

I really like that song.

Anyway, as we were leaving, I was talking about starting tennis and how I liked to try new things and it was important to get as many as possible while I was living so close to Cincinnati. Lesley's response was "Well, this summer you're playing in an orchestra." "Where?" "Here." "Um....okay?"

So, I'm sure Ashley will be pleased to know that even I lose control of the conversation sometimes.

See, that's not so much losing control of a conversation as losing control of your life.:)

I hope you can find the music for your piano piece.:)

I found it! And I'm very excited about it.

Also, at what point did I ever have control of my life?

When did I say that?:)

It was the fact you plotted some of mine! Now you're on the receiving end! *cackle*:D
